Our Values

Building together
The Mahero Library stands as a testament to community effort. Initiated by WE Care International, the project saw villagers contributing their time and resources, from laying bricks to painting walls. This collective endeavor not only resulted in a valuable educational resource but also strengthened community bonds

From adversity to advocacy
We believe sustainable growth is achieved through empowerment. With support from WE Care, Joseph B. Owino has overcome significant challenges, including a permanent injury and financial hardships. Joseph pursued his education at Mt. Kenya University with determination and became an advocate for inclusive education, embodying the transformative power of opportunity

Maximizing impact with every resource
WE Care International's commitment to stewardship is evident in our initiatives, such as the collaboration with the Portland Reading Council. Together, we provided essential educational materials to students and educators in Mahero village, ensuring that every contribution directly enhanced learning opportunities and literacy
Transparency in every step
During the construction of the Mahero Community Library, WE Care International worked closely with local leaders to ensure that every donation was accounted for and the community stayed informed throughout the process. This commitment to transparency earned us the 2025 Bronze Seal from Candid, a leading nonprofit evaluator, recognizing our dedication to ethical stewardship and public accountability
WE BELIEVE EVERY PERSON DESERVES THE CHOICE TO LIVE WITH DIGNITY NOT DEPENDENCE
